MAIN BUILDING (EPIZENTRUM)

Ausflucht University was first built in 1804, in the city of Unendlich during the Napoleonic wars as a research facility for military weaponry, science, and bio-warfare. At that time there was one main building which was named the Epizentrum. Ausflucht was used primarily for a research facility until 1806 during the collapse of the Holy Roman Empire, after that it was used as a university as well as a research facility. After Ausflucth became a University a dorm building was created named the Baum Building, also two more buildings were created, a library located near the Epizentrum, and another research building named Neue Zentrum. These buildings became the main Ausflucth campus until 1887 during when the Reinsurance Treaty was signed. In 1888 a second dorm was created called the Eichel Building and a second library was built to replace the old library which had fallen into disrepair, the new Library was named the Dritter Kaiser after the year of the Three Emperors and the old Library was abandoned.

In 1915 during World War I Ausflucht University was once more used to create weaponry, and for military science to help aid in the fight. Unfortunately the college had to be shut down for four years until the war ended because there was not enough funding and student income to run the college effectively. The University was used a housing and a hospital for disabled soldiers and a refuge for families who were fleeing the war until 1819 when the Treaty of Versailles was signed. The University was re-opened in the late part of 1819 and slowly rebuilt it’s reputation as one of the finest colleges in Germany. Unfortunately in the 1920’s because of German inflation, the rate of attendance dropped to it’s lowest since the war and the university had to focus entirely on their research department to make money and keep the university open.

During WWII the university remained open and functioning.

In 1989, the same year the Berlin Wall fell, Ausflucht University opened it’s doors to international students and researchers. They built a new dorm building called the Blatt Building, re-opened the Old Library as a secondary research facility, and started construction on a brand new research facility. The new research facility was finished in 2000 and was named simply the Forschung building.

Currently Ausflucht is one of the most widely known Universities and highest regarded research facility in the world. It is in the Forschung building that the Mermaid is kept and studied under top-secret surveillance.
